I wrote a poem about exactly how I feel about this. Not sure if anyone else agrees, just my opinion. I also have been submitting my poetry on a cool website I have found called MyOwnVerse. So here's my poem on the subject of the new healthcare reform.
I used to love this great land,
until socialist politicians took a stand.
I work hard and pay my insurance fees.
The government is blind and no longer sees.
Wait and see you will be on a waiting list;
you can scream and pound your fist.
Your pleas will fall upon deaf ears.
Cold hands will grip your inner fears.
Can't believe what this nation has become;
Where has all this negativity come from?
From sea to shining sea;
Used to mean so much to me.
Guess I have to learn just to
throw my hands up in the air.
Is there anyone out there,
that can really care?
Okay I got that off my chest. Hope everyone is having a great Monday.
This started as My Cats. Since I love to write poetry thought I would change it up a bit.

Another poem-Maybe I Heard It In A Song
Maybe I heard it in a song,
These feelings inside my heart seem so very strong;
What happened to the love we once shared?
You used to hold my hand,
til I put on that wedding band.
We once could talk for hours. you bought me
gifts and showed how much you cared.
Maybe I heard it in a song.
This pain in my heart continues to grow stronger:
I start to feel I cannot take it any longer.
Memories of how it used to be,
play like a reel in my mind.
If only I could make you see.
So now I search my soul;
not knowing what I will find.
Maybe I heard it in a song.
What is marriage all about?
These feelings inside are filling me with doubt.
I'm left to really wonder what is true love?
It keeps playing in my thoughts, time and time again;
An uphill battle I must win,
Maybe, just somehow, Maybe I heard it in a song.
These feelings inside my heart seem so very strong;
What happened to the love we once shared?
You used to hold my hand,
til I put on that wedding band.
We once could talk for hours. you bought me

Springtime
Today is the first day of spring. However, it does not feel like spring for the specific reason it is snowing outside, very cold and windy. I do dream of warmer fare, perhaps that will put me in the mood for writing and keeping up my blog. Last month was filled with trips to the hospital with husband and taking care of him. Just doing this seems to zap my strength. Spring is a time of renewal and the sun shining just makes the dreary blahs fad away. So please be patient and I promise that there is going to be new and exciting things to come. Love all.
